In two "Bet the Company" lawsuits, we represented a major manufacturer of SAS/SATA protocol analyzers. These sophisticated devices are widely used in the semiconductor and electronic storage industry. After aggressive discovery, motion practice, and an antitrust cross complaint, we obtained full dismissals in both suits, which were brought by the industry's two largest companies. Represented an individual accused of misappropriating technology from the country's leading solar-heating manufacturer. We obtained a complete dismissal after extensive discovery and mediation. Represented one of the country's leading financial advisors which suspected a senior engineer of copying sensitive documents and software systems. Worked with computer forensic specialists and uncovered the extent of the misappropriation and proceeded to file a complaint against the former engineer. Successfully negotiated a settlement resulting in the complete return of all of the misappropriated software, a permanent injunction and judgment against the former employee, and the payment of the client’s legal fees totaling more than $100,000.
